  1. Different wavelengths

  The working wavelengths of single-mode optical modules are usually 1310nm and 1550nm;

  The working wavelength of the multimode optical module is 850nm;

  2. Different transmission distances

  The longest transmission distance of multi-mode optical modules does not exceed 2KM, while the transmission distance of single-mode optical modules is generally more than 10KM;

  3. Different light sources

  The multi-mode optical module uses LED or VCSEL laser as the light source, and the single-mode optical module uses FD-LD laser or DFB-LD laser as the light source;

  4. Different with optical fiber
